HeadUnit Selection and XM vs. Sirius

Ok guys...here is my dilemma.

I currently have the whole XM Delphi Skyfi kit (receiver, car kit, home kit, etc.) The reason I cant install it in my car is because I need aux inputs on my HU (since I dun wanna use an FM mod), which our cars dont have, so I need (and kinda want) to get a new HU.

I like the whole Blue/Silver look, so a HU that I like right now is the Panasonic MXE CQ-DFX983U

It plays CD, MP3, and WMA....and it's got a set of Aux imputs (so it's got what I need).

The thing is that it is a Sirius Ready receiver. I'm wondering how dumb does that look...if I have an XM system but a Sirius ready system. I was also looking at some Pioneer HUs (they come XM ready), but have yet to find an affordable one that looks nice.

I know there's no real question posed here, but I'm wondering what you ICE gods think of the situation and please share any opinions you may have. Thanx. If you need to know more, please ask.

The Alpine 7893 is about $300 retail, is silver and blue, has quite a few features, and is XM ready.....might be out of your price range though...

It's nice...I like it, but it doesnt have MP3 or WMA playback.

I looked at the Alpine 9807 and 7995 which has MP3, but the display isnt great

Then I saw the Blaupunkt MP3000, but that doesnt have XM support.

Damn my pickiness...I wish I could customize a HU for myself.

You might be able to find a deal on the Alpine 7894... It has MP3 capability, the V-drive amp, and is XM ready. It's been replaced by one of the new 98xx units, so maybe you can find someone trying to close it out. The features are identical to the new model too.

Pioneer Premier DEH940 is silver and blue, has an OrganicEL display, supports MP3, WMA, XM, has three 6.5 volt preouts.....and it automatically adjusts timing corrections with a microphone....so....that HU might be an option for you....it is around $800 retail though.

Are you gonna use the tuner that goes with your HU, and sell the Delphi? If so, how much?
