Attn: Grey.......

Hey Grey, you made a DIY on throttle plate edging and I was wondering if you would be able to do this for me if I sent my throttle body to you. I have already bored out my throttle so would this help in even giving me more better response and pull? What do you think?

Youve done nothing but complain or instruct people since you joined this site... it seems like everytime you post you have a suggestion on the correct way of posting. Please try to respond with more helpful messeges... like mom always said "If you dont got nothin nice to say then dont say nothin at all"

JDQuikCivic:try sending Grey a PM to get a quicker response or IM him on AIM at "RawInput"

Um... Hi! If you bored out your throttle body already then didn't they knife edge the throttle plate for you? Seems like they would, but I guess not. What about the screws? Did they countersink them?

Anyway, every little thing helps. You might notice it up top. I think I noticed mine when I did this. In the higher rpm range that is. Sure, I would be willing to do this for you. How's $50 shipped sound? Of course, you couldn't use your car until you got your throttle body back from me. That is unless you have a spare one or something? I could only do this for you on the weekend and I can't guarantee 100% that I won't screw something up. I will try to be very careful, but there's always a chance that something might go wrong. I don't want to be liable for damages since I have basically no money right now.

I was going to start selling these things myself by buying a TB and doing the work to it. Then selling it and getting the stock one back from someone. Then again, there's some work involved after doing this sort of thing as outlined in the DIY, so it's not just plug and play.

Your choice, let me know...

Grey....would you be able to test it on your car to make necessary adjustments to make sure it works? When I bored out my TB, they didn't edge my plate so thats why I ask.

Yeah, I could. That would require me taking out my throttle body and putting yours in though. I think that would take me maybe an extra hour or two to do. So say... An extra $25 for testing and tuning. This would involve basically testing the throttle plate position within the throttle plate holder and testing and possibly adjusting the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). I guess that would work...

What I'm thinking is shipping you a seperate TB so I could feel the difference between the two. I'm up in Vancouver, Canada so shipping is gonna be a pain..........oh well I'll figure something out. If you can e-mail me at JDQuik@shaw.ca
