Question about lowering with certain size tires...

I plan on getting the Goldline lowering springs with some Koni stuts/shocks, maybe a camber kit to be safe, and was wondering what size tires I should go with. I want 17's and want a nice look but arnt sure if there is gonna be any rubbing with bigger size tires like 215/45/17 or 235/45/17 with a 1.75 drop. And will bigger size tires last longer than some 205/40/17? People tell me tire size doesnt effect life? Thats odd. Im not really smart in the area of suspension, so help me out. My question is so scrambled, so I fugured it would take me forever to search.

There should'nt be any rubbing as long as you go with a 205/45 or a 215/45 tire, a 225 or 235 will probably be a little too wide and rub on the inner fender with a 1.75 drop. As far as tire size effecting the life is probably not true, it depends on how your camber is set and the type of driving you do as well as the tires tread wear, temperature, and traction ratings.
