Need some help fellas: Maint Req'd and D light
Ok this has been happening for about 2 weeks now. It started a day after I passed reinspection at the DMV (thank god, otherwise I'd have much trouble from the froots at the DMV).
Ok, so I start my car. On the [P R N D D2] indicator column (applies for automa trannys), the D (drive) light turns on. I always leave the shifter in P (park) position, so it was is park. The light P (park) on the [P R N D D2] indicator column is always on until I shift to another gear (as usual). Also, the Maint Req'd light blinks about 5 times (a few seconds). But after a few seconds, the guages looks exactly as normal (the same as they were 2 montsh ago).
Cliffnotes: I turn on car that's still in Park position, car thinks it's in Drive for a few seconds. Maint Req'd lights also blinks for a few seconds.
I haven't toy'd with my guages yet, so don't think it's that way.
What's up, what should I do. I'm going for a 15,000 mile checkup maybe this weekend, so hopefully my warrantee will cover it. But if there's something I can check/do myself to solve this annoyance, I want to handle it. I don't want to have to shell out some cheddar if there is a charge for it.

wow, your reply was almost as helpful as a "Search, you noob" or "IBTL" reply. Isuppose no one else knows the answer so they just kept their mouths shut. I wish you did too.
it doesnt sound familiar to me...i would just mention that when you take it in next time....hell, they will look at it for free durnning the 15k checkup, and tell you if its covered or not...if it is..cool..its free......if its not covered...you know what the problem is(cause they will tell ya) and you can fix it yourself.

did he just say cheddar? j/p man I really don't know what the problem is, but Id have to say let honda deal with it(hope you have a warranty). It doesnt seem like an ordinary and easily fixable problem, so If I was you I wouldnt try messing with anything like the ecu or taking the gauges apart, then you could get yourself into an even worst situation

.
Just didn't want people jumping to conclusions: "Oh it's gotta be because you swapped clusters."
I'm pretty sure it isn't that coz it only started two weeks ago, and I changed it over 8 months ago.
