Custom Work

I would really like to learn how to do custom work on my car, like building fiberglass boxes and custom enclosures and what not. I don't have the money to just experiment, so my question is, is there any type of school available to learn how to do custom projects??
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Installer institute

5 grand for all 5 classes (you could do without the mobile navigation course, so like 3 or 4 grand)

OR

1 10 yard roll of fiberglass (enough to do a LOT of stuff) - 50 bucks on ebay
1 gallon of resin (enough for a box usually) - 35 bucks from tapplastics.com
1 sheet of MDF - 18.98 from home depot
random other stuff - 100 bucks at MOST
Help from us - free as hell

total - 200 max, usually a less

by the way - i believe whiterabbit is in the process of putting together the fiberglass tutorial of the century, and as soon as he's done, he's gonna post it up, also, if you look slightly upwards of this thread, theres a thread im doing as i build this custom box that I'm doing myself.

experience is the best teacher, and these schools will be hands on, but theyre not cheap...
