you're right it could be for off road use... I wasn't looking to improve airflow, just tough it would help to keep wather out of the filter. Think i'll give K&N a call to see if it does.

I just got an email from K&N Technical Support saying that it helps avoid dust getting into the filter in very dusty conditions and it also repels water..

it repels water splashing on the filter. works better than AEM's bypass vavle I think. bypass valve only works when the filter is fully submerge.
it doens't restrict airflow much. it does, but our application doesn't flow that much air in the first place anyway.
works fine, I'll get one if you have a InJen CAI and worry about hydrolock... thats if they sell it seperately.

From everything I have read it seems like the aem valve costs horsepower anyway. I mean even when it is supposed to be closed there is some air comming in thru the
valve...especially at WOT. I like the bag idea because I could put it on when it rains, and take it off when it isn't. I dont usually drive my car through rivers or submerge the front
end up to my bumper( maybe you do..I dont know) And I could live with a small HP loss since I dont get on the car in the rain anyway. I bet you could actually make this bag
yourself out of gorteks (or however you spell it..they use it in jackets..it waterproof but still allows air to pass through) If I was even a slightly motivated individual..I would do
that.
Edit: added spaces between sentences like capyoda..I think its easier to read PS..Got your bushing kit Cap.....Great job
