I need Audio installation advice
Hey guys
I have searched but found little in the I.C.E department.
The DIY isnt helpin much either.
I jus have a few questions about installin my AMP.
Im not into audio but I got a great deal on an Alpine v12 and Type-S sub, so I admit I need some help.
Where did you run the wires after the battery tap?
Is there a hole already made or must I drill, and if yes where is the best location? I know before hand that there are a lot of fuses behind the glove compartment so Im kinda confused on exactly where.
Im planning on running the wires inside the passenger side panel.
What is holding the door sill panel down besides the seatbelt bracket?
I know how to take off the other rear side panel, but the front one I havn't done yet, Im wonderin if there are clips.
That is basically it...
Thanks everyone!

1) run the power wire down the right side of the vehicle and into the trunk
2) theres a hole in t he passenger floor well. requires a bit of "stuffing" to get the wire in (coat hanger)
3) ok
4) Clips
5) just dont be afraid to pull firmly... and a note for you DIY people who made me waste my time of tearing apart the whole rear of the car just to remove the deck *THUMBS DOWN* you dont need to, i took my car to a tint shop, and the guy just took off both c pillar panels, and maneuvered the rear deck off with out taking those rear-side panels out.. you just gotta pull on those and maneuver the deck out

after the battery within a foot of the power cable you will need an inline fuse. then run it to the amp and hook a ground wire up to the amp as well that wire may be bolted to the frame it doesnt really matter since your whole car has a neg charge to it. go through the firewall with a coat hanger right behind the glove box where all the wires ome from or go to an electronics store and the will usually do it for you for free if thats all you want them to do since it takes them about 5 mins to do right. if you hae a sedan all the side pannels are cliped on and a coupe i know the ones in he front are but i am not sure about the rear. in a sedan the foot thing but the door is cliped from under it and you pull it up then the b-pillar (thing that seatbelt goes in) that lifts straight up and then the rear foot thing lifts up and the pannel by the rear seat pulls to the forward of the car.

oh yeah one of the biggest things to remember run the power cords on the right side pannels and the rca to the amp from the deckon the left hand side. other wise you will get a nasty feedback since the cables are so close together.
There is an opening in the firewall in front of the passanger sear under the glove box. Its behind the carpet and there are a bunch of other wires goin through.Just force it through but dont let the rubber piece go through. Second run the power and audio wires separately to avoid disortion.the ground wire should'nt be longer than 12in if possible
