b+g,w/kaminari lip kit

I have done some searching, both members rides and forums but couldnt quite find the info i needed

I was planning on getting either the b+g full coilovers or the h&r cup kit(when it comes out), i know the b+g drops around 2.25" not sure about cup kit.

Anyways i wanted to add 17 in rims and a kaminari lip kit but i wanted to make sure that i would rub bottom with the kit on
does anyone know????
I am not sure at all, i tried to measure around the car and it appears to me that with 2.5 in - 2.25" i will rub with the front tire and wheel well
Maybe i am just dumb, but thats why i am asking for help
Thank you

uh.. your willing to dish out $1100 on a product you dont know anything about. smart... B&Gs are true coilovers. they are height ADJUSTABLE. they go from like 1" to like 3" so if you rub, just raise it up a bit.
as for the cup kit, these arent adjustable. well kinda. they're like a 2.25/2".

what size tires do you have? i'll try to give a good estimate as to how low you can go without it rubbing. but ya if you get B&Gs you wont even have to worry

hey wassup, i have b+g coilovers and my car is dropped 2.25". i have the stock rims and tires and no kit. right now my car is about 3 inches off the ground, maybe higher. i suggest you don't lower your car lower than 2" since you are getting a kit. i don't think you would have a problem with your tires rubbing the wheel well, but i would worry about bottoming out your kit.

oh btw, for tire size. you should get 205/40. anything above that will be too big and will rub. use the tire calc. page if you're still wondering what size you want.

eh, 205-40 is too small for me i think 205-45-17 is perfect. 205-40 wont rub but you'll be kissing the ground with your kit. 215-45-17 doesnt look too badd, jooleesaur has it with the kaminari kit, but ya 205-45 is best. closest to stock too

according to the tire calc, 215/45 is closer to stock than 205/45. not trying to prove you wrong, just trying to clear up my own confusion.

thanks for the help that you have all given,I have done lots of research, I did know that they where adjustable, but i love the slammed look and wanted as low as i could go.
All this research has driven me crazy, i want a good ride with a good look, i have heard go true coilover, go air cylinders, go air bags, go hydros with air accumulators, i think i have made up my mind on true coilovers, then there are the choices tein b+g and h&r, and a few more so i am going crazy over these decisions.
My tire size will be 215/45/17.
I hope this helps you all help me somemore, i am just another happy civic owner trying to get the best out of my ride.

if you want to slam your car, 215-45-17s arent going to let you do it. you'll probably only be able to drop your car 2.25" the max. it should be low enough for daily driving but for time you really want to slam your car, you wont be able to.

thanks but eh, shouldnt value my opinion more then others.. there are alot of people who know as much if not more then i do. you should see what they have to say too...
well first theres a big price difference... $500 difference.. if you got the extra cash and willing to spend it on suspension then go ahead and spend that extra $500. i'm sticking with cup kit tho(well we'll see when they actually come out). i think a 2" drop would be perfect with those tires and a kit tho. of course theres more pro's when going with b&g such as raising the car to get your car serviced easier or adjusting it to the perfect height for you but for me i dont think its worth the extra $500. thats just me tho, but then again we'll see when the cup kit comes out. who knows maybe it wont ride nice or the drop will be uneven or too high still..
