Horrible sound coming from car
Horrible sound coming from car
Got my new transmission a few days ago, as soon as i drove it there was this loud whining noise that gets louder as u accelerate and lower when u deaccelerate. Went to honda but they are to cool to even look at it or talk to me, need to make an appointment for like next month. I can feel the vibration on the shifter (automatic) as the sound gets louder. Actually doesnt get louder but say at 20 mph i hear it every half second, if i go faster its constant..
my friends say it sounds like a firetruck
my friends say it sounds like a firetruck Im not a honda tech, or a mechanic for that manner, but I can tell you something is seriously wrong. You should demand they look at it before the damned thing explodes or something. stupid honda people
Not sure what it is, but I had a noise that sounded similar to what you are talking about, if I understand correctly. It may not be your tranny, unless you can feel it, but rather the brake pads are getting low and the metal strip is trouching the disc which could be making that noise. You will usually get a constant high pitch squeal when they make contact.

First time i heard the sound was about 7 degrees outside warming my car for school, it was idling and made teh whining sound, later that day the tranny never worked.. Now that the new tranny is in when i drive the sound is very loud. Going to honda tommoro goin to give them a piece of my mind.
