Question about molding and Fiberglass vs. Urethane
Hey everyone.
I know that you can mold Fiberglass. BUt I don't know how the process works.
I was looking at getting the Kaminari Sideskirts. As everyone knows they are Urethane. I want to have them molded to the car. Is this possible with Urethane? I've search on other forums and some say it is some say it isn't.
Got any answers? Would I have to do like a bondo type thing or someting?
Thanks everyone.
You can mold urethane... but it wont last as long for a few reasons, one the material is a lot harder to get the fiberglass(which you use to mold) to stick, and two urethane doesnt crack it bends, (why so many people like it) but when it bends the fiberglass that is molded onto it and the body WILL crack, plus paint will crack on urethane.
Hope that helps a bit.
