APRboy is on a distinguished road
You can run safely up to 8 psi with an intercooler.

Wow dude, I really hope you weren't even being close to serious there about the auto wrx.... if you were it'd do you good to do some reading about wrx's and about 16 second civics

Well considering there aren't any internals unless you get them custom made, the turbo performance kits has been shown to work up to 8PSI with and intercooler and without major modifications, like was previously mentioned. That will bring you to about 170-180horsies. Search around, there are a few people with turbos.

I kill WRXs with my super SOHC VTEC EX.... .

So when you say "turbo performance kit", is there an actual kit or just some custom job? yeah, didn't think so.... Oh well, I like to be slow, keeps me out of trouble.... until I trade up for a WRX, maybe a Lancer EVO whatever number its at now, yeah, that will be the day....

Oh BTW... itsn't there a difference in what psi is safe for a DX/LX and EX since EX has higher compression already, it should handle lower psi vs DX/LX... so right?

In theory yes. Although before you reach that limit there are other things that will get in your way, so that's not even a problem.
