The majority of cars I see here look ricey ...including most of the rides of the week. ...But then people constantly dog on ricey cars... so hence my question:


Do you consider your car to be rice?

I don't think my car is rice.

The only thing that could be considered ricey are my interior neons, and they are just for ***** and giggles. Its fun when u drive around with your friends at night and what not. It's not like I go out and say to the driver of a Mustang 5.0 "Yo, look at these neons, I bet you're scared now"

So nah, I dont think my car is ricey. I think its done tastefully.

There's no textbook definition. What one person feels is rice could be nice to others. I want people to answer the question based on what they feel is rice. So its all up to each person.

Just because when you put something on your car its mostly because you like it.
Why would you put on something you "think" is rice???

here is a simple definition i found:
rice-boy n. A person who buys a slow Japanese car produced for the purpose of fuel economy, and tries to make it LOOK fast by adding over-sized rims, decals, a World War II Bazooka exhaust tip, excessive lowering, and many other tacky items.*
*note: does not include actual fast cars, may also include domestic vehiclesand here is a fairly well-written, but long definiton

I consider rice to be something ghetto you put on your car (neons, different color body kits). Also anthing that's over the top like those huge airplane wings. You only need if your car goes fast and 99% of the cars out there don't go fast enough to justify having one. An no I don't consider my ride rice b/c its completely stock.

This is too funny. Of course no one is gonna think of their car as rice. Yet other peoples car more than likely will be rice.

Its not pointless at all. I don't understand why ppl take the energy to reply just to be a forum gremlin and say "pointless". You only prolong the life of a pointless thread by replying and bring it to the top.

Anyways...

Even if everybody said "no" which is probably what's going to happen (except one person who admitted that a wing was ricey), that in itself's says a lot. Hypocrites for one thing. Cus' I always see ppl doggin on ebay cars sayin how they're cheesey/ricey, while they got their own accessories that can be called rice.

But I'm not here to lay a trap just to rag on somebody's car. Its just a poll, don't get so frazzled and testy about it.

Please. People do what they do with their cars because they like it. The very essence of a tuner is someone who's never satisfied with the norm. So for many of the people here on this site and others like it, we've made it an artform, albeit an expensive one. Always changing. To argue that a car is ricey is a losing battle. I would agree that there are things that are in bad taste, and things that are just wrong (ie decals of products that don't exist in their cars). But for the most part, we do what we do because we thinks it's best.

This post is ridiculous...and it'll just get into a normal flame fest.
