For the 7th gen I'm pretty sure its right by the gas tank. And I think I read somewhere that the fuel pump and the pressure regulator is the same unit.[hr]

I don't think the regulator and fuel pump can be one unit. If thats the case then both the fuel pump and regulator are external of the tank, or is the pump in the tank and the reg outside the tank, or are both the pump and the reg in-tank?

well i asked Black99vtec and he said theres one located near the fuel rail..this just makes me more confused..but he seemed to be the only one that had alot of experience with the D17 motors till this day....thanks everyone!! everyones help is appreciated!!
its located near the fuel rail,it looks like a small vacuum,it is not located at the gas tank, the fuel pump and the fuel regulator are different units, fuel pump, pumps fuel from the gas tank to the fuel regulator which controls the amount of pressure coming from the fuel pump
smack the head all you want. heh
On a neon ( I know I don't want to hear it ) anyway they come with a returnless fuel system and both the regulator and pump are in the tank. You simply have to block the regulator from the fuel and install the reg of choice I use aeromotive and drill a bulk head fitting into the tank. Seal it up and run the hose of choice from the reg to the fuel tank and bingo return fuel system.

and I'm betting its a 2 pieces, one for pump one for reg. I also bet if I could get ahold of one of these it would be easy to make a return fuel system.
I'm not gonna buy one though or take off my brother tank to find out though

ok so basically you would have to block the regulater from regulating but still allow it to flow fuel down the fuel line to the fuel rail. Then from the rail run a line to the new adjustable regulator. Then run the return line off the regulator back to the tank where you would drill the fitting and seal. You can put the new regulator before or after the fuel rail, it does not matter.
