you expect problems with $16,000 cars. You'd think when your paying $30,000+ for a car you'd not have to worry about those kind of things.

Remember old Jags from the 80's...expensive...but had huge problems with shedding parts...

Nobody can build something to be perfect but people expect more from bmw, especially in the M series cars. Thats why bmw has the rep that they have.

Actually as a mechanical engineer, i would expect it not to break, some one didn't do their fatigue life calculations.....

I don't entirely agree with that. I think the technology is there to build a long lasting vehicle, but if people could buy a car that would last them forever, then business would go down the ******* for car manufacturers.

Why do you think computers are obsolete the day after you buy it? The increased technology is there, but they slowly come out with better technology, so they can keep reaping the rewards. [IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG]
