HU install? Do u have to take console off?
Alright I got my kenwood installed at PC Richards, its like a best buy. BUT they didnt install the dash kit
So I went and picked one up yesterday from them and I'm just gonna do it myself. Anyways, when the guy did my car(2002 EX sedan) I didnt see him take a aprt the center console like it shows in the DIY. How did he do this? Do I really have to take the center console apart to get access??? Thanks.

Umm you mean remove the screws with a screw driver. Get your thoughts straight before you tell me what to do noob. I did search and nothing made reference to this. jacka$$.

As for the rest, the help is appreciated.

Yea, all you need to do is remove the panel right above the console with the accessory work. It just pops out, but use a towel around a flat head screw driver when you do it. I didn't and I made some ugle marks around the edge of the panel and they won't come out. After, just unscrew those two screws on the bar, and then right above that bar there is the bracket that holds the cd player and the slot and just keep pushing on it towards you and you should see it start to come out. You have to use some muscle, but it will give way. Whatever you do, don't pull from the front panel trim peace, you will bend it out of shape. I know you had a simple question but just thought id give you the 211 on the best way to remove everything. Have fun!!

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong, but I've done this countless times, but these are not screws that have to be removed, they are bolts. If you don't know the difference between screws and bolts, you shouldn't be allowed near a headunit. Not trying to be an a$$, but if you're trying to help someone, make sure you know what you're talking about, you can't remove a bolt with a screwdriver.[hr]

Umm..both you guys are partially right. They are typical 8mm bolts with a phillips head on them. You can use a screwdriver or a socket to remove them, but it is much easier with a socket and rachet.
