DIY : Installing the ZETA Wide Arm Rest

First of all, thank you Zeta for making this product.

Tip: The instructions say to recline the passenger sit and do it from there.

I recommend that you pull foward the passenger seat and sit on the back seat.

Much easier this way...more space!

1. Follow step #6 here backwards.

(Need a 17mm socket to remove the bolt)

2. Peel off the side oppossite to the open hole

3. Hand-tighten the metal rod/piece

(It only fits one way...)

4. Insert the armrest. The plastic tube (not the side you peeled off) goes in there...

5. Install washer + bolt

(Need a 13mm socket to bolt it...)

(and no, i don't know the ' torque specs' ... just make it hand tight)

6. Cover it and you're done!

Included instructions:

Review...

Good

-Wide!!!

-Fabric matches 100%

-Includes all necessary hardware and instructions

-Hassle-free service and quick shipping (w/ UPS Ground tracking #)

Bad

-Somewhat expensive ($65-75... $61.75 for the beginning of 03)

-Too short (It's more of an elbow rest... just like the stock one)

I am overall pleased with this product. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to everybody!!!

I was tired of having passengers use my armrest, but with the Zeta Wide Arm Rest there are no more problems.

So buy yours now! here! 2003 introductory price $61.75

Nice DIY!!! Good idea on putting the text on the image itself, but letters could have been a little bit bigger like the last couple of pics.

However, I'm still not a fan of this "wide" armrest. I found my arm rest got in the way of me shifting, but you won't notice because your driving auto.
Also, I think it looks cheezy. Kinda like a big food tray between the seats. To each his own I guess.

But again nice DIY with clear pictures!!!

Nice man. One question, does it get in the way when you put the E-break up. I thought about buying one too because passengers use mine too.

Thanks. I should have made the font a lot bigger, oh well.

and the pics arent that clear, 50kb upload limit.

You bring a good point by saying that it gets in your way since you drive MT. Heheh, us automatics don't worry about that.

edit: No, it doesn't get in the way of the e-brake
