storing the civic
so I'm going on a long trip (a couple months) and I(or anyone) won't be driving the civic for a while. Should I disconnect the car battery??

Rep Power: 0 That is bull crap. There is nothing on mine to keep the battery from draining. My car is stored all winter and my battery went dead in a month. Just disconnect the battery. The ECU and clock will be draining power to keep its "memory". So it is best to disconnect it.
Don't waste the depreciation.

Rep Power: 300 or you can buy one of those cheap 1 amp battery chargers and keep your car plugged in. Myself I would just unplug the battery. even though I hate resseting the clock and presets on my radio. If you have the stock radio make sure you have the code.

Rep Power: 300 dude I thought you where kidding but.... open up the hood the battery is on the left side. loosen the clamp on the negitive battery terminal first, take it off and move it out of the way. then do the same to the positive side( the one with the red cover)
make sure that nothings going to touch the terminals after you close the hood.
if you have to use a dry clean rag or other nonconductive material..cardboard ect.
