Shaking at around 60mph???Transmission or what?

Shaking at around 60mph???Transmission or what?

yo,

Ive noticed that my steering wheel begins to shake just past 60mph and then stops goin to 70mph, then returns shaking when decelerating through the 60's.....i dont know if its my transmission or if its tires or what??? If you know what causes this shaking let me know.... Thanks!

Sounds like alignment or your tires are out of balance. Try swapping the front and rear tires around and see if it feels any different. If the problem now feels like its coming from the rear, then its most likely an out of balanced wheel. If it makes no difference, it could be an alignment issue or perhaps a driveline problem.

Aight thanks guys....
I will be gettin my 17's at the end of January so i will just get my alignment set and stuff when i put them on....i will just have to ignore it...THNAKS

I had the same problem with the stock tires the other day....I drove to work the day after a bad snow...so I was running through deep snow...came out of work and everything was cleared and dry on the roadways, and it was the worst vibration I have ever felt in the car! I couldn't go past 60 since it was shaking the car soooo bad....later that night, went back out it was fine...now, I know for a fact that my stock wheels are out of balance, so that is probably it as I could probably use a good alignment....

it's definately a wheel balance problem. i had the exact same thing happen to my car. got a rebalance done..... ops check good.

yeah, one of your wheel weights must've fallen off, get the wheel rebalanced

Alignment, balance, or could be a warped brake rotor(but not really likely) My wheels do it all the time, ever since i got rims, that is[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/IMG]
