itwindsheild repair....

I got my windshield replaced today (cause there was a crack in it) and I just noticed that the little plastic piece on the driver's side near the bottom is a little loose. Is this important? I mean like will it cause problems? for instance, will water leak in? or will my windshield be less sturdy?

I guess another way to put it is, is this little side plastic piece just a cover or does it actually keep the glass in place???

Thanks.

I can't really take a pic of it.... it looks normal from the outside.... it's just a little loose. I don't know if it was like this before the guy replaced it. It's the black plastic piece that is on the side of the windsheild. I just wanna know if it's a cover or a support.....?
