APC Titanium chrome signal bulbs

first off, i ordered them from: Street Beat Customs - they also have bulb paint, but i'll wait for someone else to try that stuff

after the silver spraypaint method failed, I continued my quest for silvervision-type bulbs to get rid of the amber reflection in my taillights.

I was told about APC Titanium bulbs. a week later, I had them. from a distance, they appear completely chrome. only up close and with light can you notice faint traces of amber:

I must say, they're worth it! the appear slightly dimmer than my other turn signal bulbs, but that may be because my old ones are 3157s (dual filament). I ordered the 3156 type. I suppose if you want them to be bright, order 3157s, but i'm not sure if both filaments will light up

DL the video to get the true experience: http://gametrax.net/bulbs/signal.mpg (550k)

and at last.....

I understand the 7443's are hard to come by though... if anyone has luck finding them, let me know!

thats why he got the chrome painted bulbs so the yellow wouldn't show in sunlight

They're costly, but definately worth the money for the setup that you've got.

Mex,
I just ordered the red ones, I like the look of red signals over amber. How do the show up in the day when there on? Can you see them enough to feel safe?

Yeah, they're the same for the front. But I was also referring to the rear. I'm not sure about the rear turn signals, but I know the reverse lights for sedans and coupes are different. Sedans use 7440 while I believe Coupes use 194. I was hoping to use the 7440 to replace the rear turn signal in my altezzas also.
