Grounding Strips?

Not sure what they are called.. think grounding strips.. the strip that hangs at the rear of the car...
do they work?

i've noticed a lot of electrostatic build-up while sitting in my car with my wool jacket
now its fun when i get out to close the door as I can pretend i'm like god... nice little blue lightning bolts...
yes, I have done this on multiple occasions just to see it

just wondering if anyone else is doing the same thing...

EVERY time i get out of my car i get a shock when i touch the door to close it....

its cause you're sliding across the fabric seats to get out and you get a charge

the strip might work.. or it could be an excuse to get yourself some nice new seats

the grounding strips do work........ for the first few weeks....... but once then burn away and don't touch the ground, the static just comes striahgt back............. and plus, it looks really ghetto if it's hanging in midair and not touching the ground...... heehee....... my 2 cents
