Red Dash Lights
I have read the thousands of dash light "DIY's", and questions posted all over the site and in the form. Since I have a red coupe I have a color scheme of red, black, chrome. Most everyone is switching the Dash Lights to blue but I was going to see what red looked like if not that then white. Has anyone seen the dash lights red or have done this yourself? If so how does it look?

Find a member that has a 2k1 EX, I believe they came with red/orange (pontiac style) gauges. If they installed indiglos then they might have their old LED's that might just be red. (yes the EX gauges will work with other models)

My dash lights are currently an orange color. I'm going to buy the gels tonight and possibly install them tonight too. Once I finish them I will take pictures and post them.

Ok I did it! After a few hours of trying atleast ten different combinations of colors between the gels on the center dash, the gels on the *****, and the lights for the ac controls (both). I found that the best combination to get a deep red color is not to use aftermarket gels at all but to keep the oem gels and add red condoms to the lights in each of the seporate units. Once you have taken the center dash out and apart you will notice the ac controls (left and bottom ac controls) have blubs you can remove. I removed all four of the bulbs. A while ago I bought some cheap strobes that had a few differant color condoms to change the color of the flash. I took both of the red condoms, and cut them in half. I used the tops of the condoms for the bulbs for the left ac controls and I used the bottom of the condoms for the bottom ac controls. The condoms fit perfect and the results were perfect. Here is a photo I took, sorry it's a crappy photo but my digital camera is out of date.

They're alot brighter in person, and if you compare them to the stock orangish color still on my gauges it is a world of differance. The center that I modified I a true red. I'm very satisfied. Next up is to do the gauges!
