First Upgrade? (yes i know i'm a newb)

Hello, well i've tried to get a sense of what is going on.. but i'm not only new to the car but to the automotive world in general. anyways. i have a Honda Civic LX Automatic black Sedan 2001 model Stock.. no mods or anything. i was just trying to find advice on what should i upgrade first. i'm more concerned with getting a little more power into the car and preferable under 1k.

i don't know where to start. any advice would be great and duly appreciated. thanks, (yes i did try a search, but i can't seem to find any threads saying "my first upgrade..... " )

get some rims first, then hook yerself up with an exhaust and intake. then get some coilovers or springs with a rear camber kit. then get a body kit and your set. theres your start.

Yep rims all the way still haven't done them too much $$ right now but I have done a lot of other cheaper mods like Limo Tint all the way around and PIAA lighting on my headlights etc.

get some lightweight wheels they will help the power/handling out a tiny bit and look good. dont forget to drop it with some good quality springs like eibach sportlines

Nuts got it exactly right. Go for a well balanced car. Rims will make the most difference in your car, so do that first. Get your windows tinted with limo tint in the back a 25 or 35 in the front (depending on your local laws.) That will make your car look pretty cool. Then go for the engine.
