Needles Sticking with new guage faces....

Anyone know what might make our needles stick after putting aftermarket guage faces on? Are they just getting caught on the new faces? Or is it something else? Any help is appreciated...

The new gauge faces really need to be stuck down using a thin double sided tape. The only draw back with using tape is you only get one chance at positioning the gauge faces correctly. If you dont get them in the correct position first time its hard to re-position them.

Dude, check out my post on the tech board. I had the same problem, tried the tape, they still stuck. Only after I had removed them completely did I realize I ruined my needles! The tach jumps up to 3000, and never goes past that point, then it jumps down to 1000 when I put in the clutch. The speedo wont go past 70mph. I ruined my needles! Luckily I'm having them replaced, car is still under waranty, I didn't tell them I installed the gauges. I'm thinking they weren't worth the hassle. Try the tape though, maybe you'll be okay. Reply back to this thread after, I like to know how it worked out for you.
