They're probably to save the bumper from bumper rash. I'm guessin he drives places where you have to parallel park, and those save the paint on your bumper from getting scratched to hell. Ugly yes, but they'll look better than a scratched up bumper, wouldn't you say?

Don't be hatin cause that car looks pretty nice to me, I would trade straight up I think without a body kit the black strips add a little pazzaz, anyways props to making a civic sedan into a nice looking car.

Those bumpers look like something my old man would do to his '70s Camaro!
thanks to my camera design, a theft was caught in the act of stealing my car and my tape was used in his court trial and convicted him for 4 years...that's what you get punk! lol
Well, I may not think highly of the bumpers, but I guess someone else thought the car was worth stealing. That idiot deserves more then four years for trying to steal that car, atleast two more years for bad taste!!! But the rest of the car is actually pretty nice!

as for the rubber strips...well mr. flordia tropics, here in jersey ppl tend to drive like fools,retarts,jerks...especially SUV's i've actually replaced my bumper a total of three times because some jerk either bumps me from behind at the malls....the strips do look corny but it does it's job: _doh;

i still like the first one better, function or fashion, doesn't matter, i tend to affiliate "BLING-BLING" with another crowd that i don't think really represents the import race scene very much, IMO. If there really is an import race scene, i don't know, i could of made it up.

Hell yeah... I lived in brooklyn and the only way that the old people on my street would know they were in their space was to give the car behind an in front a good bump... Just take a look at any NYC bumper and some NJ bumpers My old cars bumper was ruined.

I thank you guys for understanding me...it's tough hooking up a car and living within the tri-state area of new york city and new jersey. Everyone out here knock into each other. Manhattan is the worst place due to the taxi cabs. If you can dodge them you can drive anywhere.
bumper burns are seen on every car in jersey. the sad thing is most of these hooked up cars park in drive ways..it's when they go to the mall and stuff where some dumby bumps into your ride. and let's not get into door dings either, those are the worst to. But thanks again for your understanding and for your nice comments....
