ADJUSTING HEIGHT W/ KONI

ok wut is better for adjusting the ride height: Non adjustable KONI (red) with ground control coilover OR adjustable KONI (yellow) with neuspeed race springs. I want to lower my coupe about 2-2.5 inches

i dont think koni reds are out for our cars.
also koni yellows arent exactly height adjustable. the damper setting is adjustable.
if you know how much you want to lower your car go with springs. if you have no idea and plan to adjust it a couple times go with coilovers.
i personally would go with neuspeed race rather then ground control. if i did go with ground controls however i would just pay a lil more and get true coilovers

Koni yellows are height adjustable !! This is what I heard from one of the mechanics that installed my konis. He claims that the yellow konis can be further threaded to lower the car to your prefered height. Sounds cool, but I'm kind of scpetical as yet. Will find out more during my next visit there. What I believe is that they actually extend the length of the threaded section of the koni. By doing so, more of the rod sticks out through the hole on our chasis which caters for the shocks. In this way, the car is lowered, as the springs will be more compressed, giving a stiffer ride and the operating play of the konis will be slightly altered. Anyone can confirm this ?

I use to have the NEX coilovas. they are good for extreme drops. the stock setting for the rears ate a good chunk of my tire(under fenderwell). You can go safely with a 2.5-3.0 inch drop and still have full suspension travel. They are shorter(shock) travel than the tiens. You can buy the version 1 now and the shop that you bought it from will exchange them for version 2. They have to, but on installation, that is another story. If they promise they will reinstall if for free, get it in writing.
