Progress sway bar hardware kit update!
I just got word back from Progress on the status of their hardware kit for non-EX '01 and DX -02 models:
Quote
Greg,
The price for the rear sway bar adapter kit is $159.00. This kit is
very extensive due to the non EX vehicles having none of the mounting points
for a sway bar.

well you guys dont have any mounting points what so ever... especially for the endlinks... so...
I'm not surprised.
you should go with the LX rear sway DIY though... drill in the mounting points urself.. and fabricate an endlink mounting point... maybe u can ask that guy that did it to make one for you... gotta weld it on though...

I didn't know someone had posted a DIY for the dx/lx links. Anyway, after an exhaustive search, it's HERE.
I have some buddies that are welders by trade, so maybe I can get them to do mine for some beer or something.

what does the kit consist of?
my main concerns are how will the kit attach to the endlinks and the center beam where the 4 holes would be
it shouldnt require you to do your own welding and drilling right? that would be exactly like the LX DIY. then all you'll be buying are the pieces you need

Wow, that's too much. I was holding out for this kit myself, but I don't want to pay that much to install a rear sway bar. I think I'll do DriftR's DIY and buy a welder and weld it on myself. I have close up pictures of the end link attachment points and what not; if people want to use them as a reference for making their own end link attachment points, then I can host them. Let me know...
