Yeah I just got done washing my car and I tried to take out the resonator box but I'm a retard and cant figure out how to get it out, so just for fun for now I took off the snorkel... Anything good or bad about that? I know it doesnt do any performance, but wut if a big juicy bug comes in somehow and gets sucked in, well I guess it'll just get stuck in the filter... Oh well, I'll be getting my AEM CAI in 2 weeks anyways...

no its not ok, your car will be sucking air closer to the engine which equals hotter air.

yeah, I'm thinking about putting it back on b/c it may just be in my head, but seems like my car doesn't kick in when I leave from a red light or something... I just wanted to do it for fun, not for sound or HP or anything b/c I know that wont do jack. I think LikeWEEEEE is right, its closer to the engine bay so it sucks in more hot air, as opposed to the snorkel pointing to where the cooler air comes in directly. So if you think about it, there really is no use of getting a SRI either b/c its closer to the engine bay and sucks in more hot air, either CAI or stock is your best choices i guess... Thanx... I'm gonna go put my MAI back on (Mid Air Intake).

i took off the resonator before too.. it does sound cool yes, but it sucks performance wise. you lose low end power, but i noticed some, not much, mid to high end power. and also i mashed on the gas to hear it more so i wasted gas like a **** .
