More SVT Focus Love!!
Being a Ford fan for most of my life and an owner of 3 previous Fords it is nice to see the SVT is getting a little love. I know alot of you are skeptical about a Ford since you all own a Honda which in many of your opinions is Gods gift to econoboxes. I tested a red svt at a local dealer and they really are nice cars (not a big fan of the dash though). Nice car, nice price. I still like the styling of my Honda better but as far as performance I must take my hat of to the SVT. Congrats Jhonda on the purchase; please keep us updated on your adventures.

SVT = special vehicle team? this is like fords Type R ??
this is exactly why we need the R series of cars over here... the Si... is a bit lacking... and the Acura Type-S stuff is not in the same price range as the SVT focus...
honda executive will prollie read this n schitt in there pants.. reading someone went from honda => ford

Yeah, good performance. Good price. Euro-econobox styling.
Then we've got our cars...
Shoddy performance. Good price. Good styling.

i am sure that our "possibility of throttle piece fall into the engine" is really good relieability

Well the hondas didn't impress me on relibility, with all of the stalling issues and other things that honda want fix, but as for ford the only recall for the svt was in the fuel pump but Ford can figure out whats wrong with them and will fix it. Plus the svt is a LEV instead of a ULEV so it will be easier to mod legally. I still love every second of my svt.then

the only time i had a ford was a 99 mercury mystique. the breaks warped the first week we got the car, then the airconditioning started leaking 3 months after we got it, 4 recalls, they never did fix the a/c. when we traded it in for a trd tacoma, the thing was a walking piece of junk. but it had the power
will i ever buy a ford again? probably not, would i recomemend one? yeah, if you want more power
the svt seems like it'll be plenty for the si. a review in popular science picked the svt over the si, and it out performed the si in everyway

I'm not putting down the SVT at all, but I'm almost positive that the the first shipments of SVT Focus' were recalled for a problem with the cruise control, that could cause the throttle to become stuck in the wide-open position. I still wish we had an authorized dealer where I live so I could check one out. The more WRC I watch - the more I like the Focus style. Do they still use that copper-orangish color on ANY Focus' at all? I've seen it on model year 2000's.
I grew up driving Ford trucks and racing Honda motorcycles. But now the only thing I have to say about the Focus is - Record setting Focus
