stock CD player direct fit for Stock Tape player??

Hey guys,

I just got a new stereo for my 2k2 EX, so I am giving my old stock CD player to a friend who has a 2k2 LX. The LX comes stock with a Tape player. My question is, do I need to get another wiring harness (wire, crimp, etc...)? Or will the plug for the Tape player, plug straight into the plug for the CD player (unplug tape player - plug in CD player)?

IT shoudl be a direct fit, but remember to get the codes that came with the car you're getting it from. You'll need them when you pwer it up.

The hardest part for me was trying to find where my dad hid his metric sockets

I have a stock tape player in my 2k1 HX that I want to switch with a stock CD player. I saw the DIY on removing the stock radio, and from reading this post it seems like it's just a matter of unplugging one and plugging the other in (no harnesses or whatever else needed). One question though, what's this about codes? I don't have a stock CD player yet but if I do get one then where do obtain these codes? Thanks!

BTW, because I don't know much about this stuff I'll definitely seek help before attempting a DIY. Maybe my fellow Mass-holes will give me a hand.

EDIT: Never mind my question about the codes. I figured it out.
