What's the best paint to use for painting the plastic dome light cover...keep in mind that I have an LX so no sunroof. A friend of mine used clear candy apple red (the color I want the dome light) model paint but I was told that model paint doesn't stand up to high heat too well. Any other suggestions on paint to use?

Either that or I need to find a bulb...which I've had a hard time doing. Either they are the wrong size or not the color I want. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/IMG]

i used a type of lighting paper....i cut it to the size of my dome light and then i also colored my bulb...looks great...nice pimp blue. paint wise i dont know what to do but im just given u another option.

i wouldnt paint it, thats so ghetto. you can find bulbs ive gotten blue ones for mine, the brands i bought are:

American Auto Accessories(the brand is really small in the top left corner).
The package says Super Bright PREMIUM Colored Bulb 194(194 is the bulb style)
Their part # is 47-01942(this # is in the upper right corner.

the second brand i got is:

Road Pro(name found on bottom of package)
the package says AUTO BULBS--211-2b--Interior Moodlights---Dome/Courtesy
I think 211-2b is the bulb style, and their part # is RP-2112b

i got two brands because i have an ex and the front and rear are different. the dome lights which are the same bulb type for all trim levels, are 194 , they are the same as in the trunk. the rear bulb(on ex) are a tubular style bulb with a terminal at each end, and two wires, but on the ones i got to replace those, the terminals are cone shaped, but they still work.
