Direct replacement speakers?
I really need to replace my rear speakers. There's nothing really wrong with them, they just don't get as loud as I would like. I normally have my system faded to the back just a bit so it's not all in my face while I'm driving. I really don't feel like hacking up the stock wiring harness, so I'm just wondering what kind of speakers would just drop in and connect to the OEM harnesses? I'd kind of like something 3-way if at all possible, but 2-way would be fine too.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that I've got a Pioneer Premier DEH-P1R (yes, I know it's old, but top-o-da-line!) and an MTX 4244 4-ch amp wired to it. Hadda do it that way because the HU is preout only.
Let's see whatcha can come with now mohawk.

I've got a coupe. I really need to move my amp from the floor of the trunk to the back of the seat.
It's in the way. I've also got to move the 12-disc changer and hang it from the rear deck. One other thing I've got to mention is that I've got an OEM spoiler installed and they replaced the springs or whatever, so they may be in the way of the magnets.

Yeah. OEM spoiler/wing. Same difference. I know that when they put they on, they have to replace the stock "springs" because of the weight added from it.
Man. I was hoping I could find some decent direct replacements that'll hook up to OEM wiring. Reason I say that is because I ran speaker wire back up the cabin, into the wiring harness so I didn't have to run wire to each speaker.

Okay..with the spoiler springs you have a tad more clearance . Memphis Studio 6X9's would definately fit the bill..little pricey..but worth it.. or JL audio VR 6X9's as well..you will have to splice the OEM wire..but that's not hard to do.

I think I may have to hit up the audio shop this weekend and see what they've got. I'm actually kind of attracted to Pioneer and Infinity Kappa stuff. Very clean sounds (at least to me) for the price. I also don't know if I should just finish off my system. I need to toss a 2-ch amp in there and toss at least 1 sub in. Not enough bass for my techno/dance/electronica. I've got 3 MTX Thunder 5000s sitting in my closet, brand new in their boxes.
