Some trouble with local muffler shop
ok, so i take my car in to get my muffler installed with a custom catback 2.25" piping right? so yea, i wait in the waiting room for about 1.5hours. after i take it out for a spin, my check engine light turns on. so im like wtf?, and i check under my car. suprise, suprise, my cat is GONE! and the way the stuck the O2 sensor, its all ghetto-rigged. they drilled a hole in the pipe, stuck the sensor in, and they (i think)welded it on there.
check out the o2 sensor...

ok so, its been a week today. i called them back today about it becuase the manager has been out of town all week. and he left a lil before i called for the day. so now, what would you guys do if this happened to you?
hopefully, they kept the stock cat for scrap parts, but if not, im going to make them buy me a new stock cat ($850 mu ah hahahaha!)
Yeah, like Qcksilvr said...file a police report. That way you have a written report to fall back on if they refuse to replace your cat. It is illegal to remove a catalytic converter from a street-driven car, so they need to get you a replacement and put it on for free. I'd also sue them for the time it's going to cost you to get all this straightened out. Time is money...time lost, money lost.
Oh, and make sure that they replace the cat with an OEM Honda cat--I believe the metals in them are specific to our cars, hence their high price.
Edit: After looking at your member's rides page, I would say SUE THEM. Your car is an EX, meaning that they just had to weld a flange onto the larger pipe and bolt it on after the cat. They had no business removing the cat itself.

Why did I have a feeling that would happen?
Ok, call the place (they're obviously back peddeling right now) and tell them that if you do not speak with the manager within a reasonable amount of time, you will not only go to the police if it was unauthorized but will file a complaint with the BBB and take legal action. See how much they play with you then......

I seriously doubt your cat was thrown in the scrap pile. LOL They more than likely took it to resell it. They are worth a pretty penny. I could only see them in the right if they thought you wanted straight piping all the way from the exhaust manifold. Even under that circumstance, your cat should have been put in the trunk for you to take home.
Also, I know that in several states, it could be a federal law, i don't know, you can't remove a functioning cat for any reason, and also you can't remove a cat w/o putting another one in it's place. I don't know what those guys were up to but I would get back to that shop asap.

nah i want a stock one. i dont need to to get any louder than it is. n besides, i want them to pay the 850$ for the stock cat (thats if they still dont have it at the shop)
EDIT: i just called them up this morning around 930. Joe wasnt there so i left them this nice message "yea, tell joe to call me asap because you guys cut off my cat and i want it back. if i dont hear back from you either today or tomorrow, i will be filling a police report, compaint to the BBB, and i also have grounds for a lawsuit. "
