will aftermarket rims void any warranty????

I wanna know if putting any size wheels( 15-18 inch) with low profile tires will void any warrantys....casue my dealer just told me that low profile tires caused a guy with a 2000 civic to ruin his axles....and im kinda concerned cause I have 18's on my car and dont want to ruin my axles....could someone shed some light on this for me....
thanks

Your dealer, or any for that matter, have to proove that whatever mod you have done was the direct cause of whatever the problem is.
