Well it depends on if the venom 400 buys the jet chip flowers and says it looks pretty. . If so, then the jet chip would say, "thank you, you look pretty too". Then they would compliment each other...

Welcome to the site noob.
Ohh, don't worry about "Senior Members" and their smart a$$ comments. That's the reason they got their status, by doing nothing more than "Post Whoring" and not provinding any pertinent information. They should spend more time working on their stock a$$ cars, than posting bull shiet on this site.

as far as the Jet and Venom systems complimenting each other....hmmm, hard to tell. But if i was to put a finger on it i would say one word,..REDUNDANCY. Essentially they serve the same purpose (in relation to remapping AF ratios). So i would say, there is really no reason to have both of them on there.

those types of products usually advance timing etc... So with both on there (if they actually can both be installed and still work) will probably either screw up the signals too much for it to even run well, will advance timing too far and thus create detonation, or not work at all. I would bet against this setup working. The previous post is correct in saying 'redundancy'. I am curious too hear how these products are doing (helping/not helping) I think I will so a SEARCH!

NO.

They are both stand-alone. Either or, not both. Waste of money to do both.

oh but im told by the senior members that i have the attitude. theres always a smart *** remark instead of feed back.
and call me a newbie all you want truth is have been here longer than most of you.
anyways, i dont think they would work together pretty good kinda like 2 things doing the same job i wouldnt chance it.besides its not worth losing your computer for a week for a jet chip go with the venom 400 alone

well my reasoning for asking is venom works in the rpm band of 1,000 to 5,000 so venom says. anyhow the jet chip work in the higher rpm bands. so i was just thinking maybe the venom would kick in and take it's turn and soon after the jet chip would kick in and take over from that point. so would it increase horsepower and torque through the whole rmp band?
as far as the obdII and obdIII i know venom works in our cars in fact i spent a half hour talking to venom about it and i bought the model for our cars. model number v21-160 i believe. the guy told me the the 2k1 and newer are becoming the most sold unit. . but anyhow anyone have more feed back?

I have the VCN-400 on my car... its OK not as good as all the hype is. You are right the part number is a v21-160. It has an LED to tell you when its active. Its weird because if I am at a constant speed say around 3000 rpm's and hit the gas, the Venom kicks in. But if I take off from a start and just give it everything I have, once I hit high RPM's the venom LED isn't even on. It seems that I am accelerating at a rate better than the venom can change, it has a switch on it and if I switch it off I can notice a slight difference, but with so many other mods its hard to tell. As for it working with the jetchip, it should... the jetchip changes a lot more things than the venom does. The venom monitors the TPS and MAP, that's it. I belive the JETchip lets you pretty much reprogram the whole ECU.. I say get both, why not?

thanks IDQ for the good info. i'm kinda hoping that it'll be alittle different then it is with all you EX drivers out there. like you said it seems like you pick up faster then the venom can change or make better..... well maybe with me having a dx and all it's be different! se i made a really stupid mistake when i bought my car! i could have got the EX but i took the DX with all the warranties.... really stupid. i just vioded alll them anyhow. soi should have been thinking more and got the EX without warranties. i kinda regret it now but not really. car looks good and i'm only missing the vtech in my engine. haha only. in a sense i'm looking as the jet chip taking the place of the vtech. then on top of that the venom unit

Somebody wanna send me some additional info on these parts please. I haven't heard of them before now and was wondering where I can order them from. Some parts are hard to get in Canada, maybe I'll have to tour out to New York (Syracuse) or something.

If you all want to read some reviews about it, you can here

None of them are Civics however, but you'll get an idea of what it does for some cars. It sells for about $300 for Hondas/Acuras in general, but I don't know the specific price or website where they sell it for our cars. Maybe that helps.

Hello, I'll be getting the aem cam gear and aem pulley kit soon and was wondering if these two will work well with the venom 400 chip. Does anyone have the chip with these two upgrades,

Thanks,

Joe

i believe IDQ has a majority of the available mods for our cars, including both AEM Pulleys and Cam Gear. so id ask him. as it looks, he says that at his car's status with mods... the VCM-400 only works moderately... id be more interested to hear how the JET CHIP holds up to the amount of mods that IDQ has. im on my way to his status, but still a few mods away. if i get the JET upgrade, i'll be sure to let yall know how it is...

Yeah I pretty much have most of the mods available so far inlcuding the pulleys and cam gear. I think maybe because I advanced my timing on the cam gear, that's why the venom is having trouble keeping up sometimes. Most of the time the venom is working under moderate acceleration. But if I start from a start, floor it and redline all gears, the venom light is off most of the time, which is kinda strange... It must already be running to optimum otherwise the venom would have changed something...

i just thought of something....... doesn't venom state that the venom take whatever output your TPS sensor and MAP sensor.and modifies it by 40 times. or something of that nature? so i'm thinking that it should work no matter what mods you have it should still amplify 40 times. does that make sense?????

No you're thinking wrong, it modifies the input 40 times per second... if the signal is already the best it can be how can the venom change it?

Hey IDQ, I was thinking of getting my aem cam gear and aem pulley kit soon. Which performance upgrade would you recommend first, the aem pulley and cam gear or the venom 400. also which one showed best results,

thanks,

Joe
