injen cai vs injen sri (sound)
I did do a search and could not find your opionions on the sound difference. Is there abig difference in the sound of the sri compared to the cai both being from
injen. Also I see that the sri comes with heat shield does this help out.

get the sri !!!! its mandrel bent and air flows easier. the cai works great in the lower RPM's but it is long and is not mabdrel bent making airflow harder causing it not to work as effectively and it opens up the possibility of hydrolock. the good thing is that it sucks cold air. the SRI is mandrel bent so air flow is much quicker and it works great in the higher RPM's. the injen SRI actually put out better numbers overall on the DYNO when used on the 2002 honda civic ex coupe and the 2002 acura RSX than the AEM CAI. as for the injen CAI, i'm not sure of the numbers but either way you won't get much HP at all and they NEARLY sound the same.

its a personal taste and also it depends on environment somewhere were it rains alot and snows you can't really get a CAI... If you live you don't have that environment than its just a taste of what you like better they both have good and bad points about them so its sorta even

are you sure about the CAI intake not being mandrel bent. I know for a fact that my Injen CAI is not crimp bent and is in fact mandrel bent.

dont worry, "rookie"tuner is just living up to his name. i cant think of ONE mass produced aftermarket intake that IS crush bent. not even the APC products.
BTW SRI makes more noise and less power. hydrolock is a myth unless you are a moron and drive through 1+' of standing water. Get a CAI.
