Shifter has some play in it...
I don't know if this is normal as the car breaks in, my Civic is my first car with a manny tranny, but it has 4800 miles on it and the shifter is getting a little looser. It still drops into gear fine, but it wiggles around in the gate. It sometimes causes trouble in the diagonal shifts (2 to 3, 4 to 5) because it doesn't always drop in, it sometimes hits outside of the gate (ex, it won't go into 3rd, it will hit the spot on the pattern between 1 and 3). Is this the rubber bushings breaking in and getting a little squishy? Will the kumosport aluminum ones fix this? or do I have some kind of a problem on my hands?
Why, I think this is a job for..................the Kumosport bushings!
Yea dude, the really help and if you want a really tight and precise shift feel, spend the extra $90 or so and get the Revo short shifter as well. Worth every penny!

I know exactly what you mean! When I got the KumoSport "bushings" that problem faded away. You can also DIY your own bushings out of washers if you don't want to pay that much for those aluminum ones.
