Factory Sport Suspension

Ya, went to my dealer today to get my oil change and saw an advertisment for the sport suspension. Decided to get a quote from the parts dept. and they want 1,800.00 installed w/ alignment. Not bad, eh? Their running a special now to promote it, reg. price is 2,000.00 not installed. So yah, thinkn bout gettin it. I knw its kinda high but I got that hendrix warranty deal where it covers everything for 3 years and I don't want to void it. Plus I dont' know how much longer I plan to keep the civic so I don't want to de-value it.

You can notice the drop. If you do a search, I posted some pics of the whole package installed a while ago.

any Idea what the struts might be selling for? Same price as the factory struts? Im guessing that they must be valved for the 1 inch drop or else, anyone who purchases this kit will probably be bringing their cars back for blown struts.

Well if that's the case, then most of the members on this site who have lowered their cars will have blown struts soon since not many have changed their struts that I've seen. The only aftermarket struts for our vics are koni adjustable struts which run over $500. BTW they have to be welded due to the macpherson suspension, so I'd rather have it be under warrenty.

welded? uh... who told you that.. you have to cut them up and yes it will void the warranty but just by lowering your car your voiding the warranty.

You're right, I had it confused w/ the whole issue of the struts being attached to the steering hardware & the purpose of the koni's is to fit in the stock housing.
