OK i'm driving home today, i usually turn the a/c off when I pass someone because it definitly is quicker with the a/c off... anyways,once I pass and get back to speed i turn the a/c back on and this white smoke comes out the vents!!! I was like WTF?!?! I turned the a/c off and my radio off too because some smoke was coming out by there too.... it didn't smell or anything and almost looked like steam. Could this be because its so hot outside and it was still cool in the car or something? I hope i didn't mess anything up installing that cam gear. No check engine lights came on or anything and the car still ran fine. I waited till I got home and turned the a/c back on once parked and it seemed fine, no smoke. There was a lot of hot air coming out from under my car, probably from the engine, hopefully I don't have an exhaust leak. Has anyone ever had something like this happen to them? I hope its nothing to worry about. thanks for any help.

it happened to me in my old car but it was just b/c it was so hot out. it shouldn't be a problem

it does that when it is humid outside. it is like when you open the fridge and there is white smoke coming out of it. same thing.

its only condensation! no worries!

just like when its cold outside and you blow air you see smoke (whit smoke)...
its the same, you turned off you r air, it got a little hot in your car, you turned back on the "cold" air and smoke (white-ish condensation smoke)

IT HAPPENS TO EVERYONE in EVERYCAR, given the right conditions!

Yeah well thanks for the help i guess its not a big deal, it was funny beacuse right after i passed the car I started creeping beacuse I didnt know what was up. i kept lookin in the rear view and it looked like they were gunna pass me hehe, but they never did. I saw this thing somewhere, it was like a smoke machine made for your car, talk about clam bake!

Yeah... smoke comes out of my vents all the time. It normally is what happens right before condensation starts gathering on them. No worries.

just keep an eye on it cause it happened to mine and then it got hot out and the ac didnt work it was free-on (spelling) and they could tell me how it happened or why but the condensor was totally out.

Just remember good smoke, cold smoke in fact, goes down; bad smoke, or hot smoke, goes up. Just remember— heat rises. So if it's pouring out it's fine, if it's rising out, not good at all.

Ya man, that happened to me yesterday too!

freaked me out...then I stuck my hand in it, like the curious little george I am, and noticed that it was just condensation. It was freaky tho!

condensation from badass cold air coming from a/c moving into warm air going thru car... this is only if the windows are down, if not, ... uh... lol
