sedan and coupe exhausts

What is the main difference between the sedan and coupe exhausts? I did a search and all I found was rallyered2k1civic trying to sell and exhaust and a debate about catbacks and custom piping... Is there a way to jury rig a coupe exhaust onto a sedan?

Hmm . . . that's funny, I wasn't aware that there was a difference. Someone care to enlighten me?

Well I see exhausts that say "coupe only" and GReddy makes an exhaust for 4dr and 2dr so?

hmm, you've got a point there. My guess is the difference in trunk length? I think if the exhaust is designed to fit both coupe and sedan, the tip will stick out a little farther on the sedan because the trunk is shorter? That's my theory at least.

That makes sense. There are differences in the underbody? Possibly, as far as length and whatnot. But functionally speaking, I don't think so. Probably just different mounting points.
