do i need to cut the rubber bumpstop more???HELP!
Ok so like i installed my springs (goldline)about 3 days ago...its all good. no noises..but now its like everytime i hit something (lil bump on the road) i hear this one noise, like something is hitting on both sides of my front suspension. it something to do with the struts i know that, all im wondering if i need to cut them both more..it says that im suppose to cut like..1.25 in the front...but i think i only cut like .75 I THINK...i didnt really measure it... yeah i know that was stupid of me. so is that what you guys called bottom them out? or something like that? does anyone know how much to cut from the front?( talking about the lil black rubber that is on the bar of the strut), ok so im like new at this..please help out.
peace out yo!

you have a better chance of bottoming out with full bumpstops then no bumpstops cause cutting/removing the bumpstops gives more shock travel. however removing them gives you a higher risk of blowing them.

i have no idea what to do... does the noise sound like somethings loose or does it sound like a 'thud' like when you go over a speed bump too fast and hit the bottom of your car? cause my car sounds like somethings loose. its most likely cause the springs arent sitting right... if it is this kinda sounds i guess try spraying wd-40 on the top/lower perch cause some have said that that works...

it sounds like something is lose, but i just hate how it sounds,, i mean if it was like semi big bumps it be cool but..its any lil crack on the road..i think imma cut more the rubber things, just like 1/2 inch more or so. i know imma be buying new shocks (aftermarket) anyways..so..i just hate it..its not like big thug sound, but like the springs are lose..or something...or the inside of the shock is hitting on something

alright so im going to take a look later today...and its not that i hear it in almost every single little crack but when i hit little obstacles on the road..for example..the reflectors that the city uses to devide the lanes...something like that..or somewhat dips that are in the road..and so on.
alright..we'll see what happens

ok guys...dont take me for a stupid guy but..i think thats what i am or something...i took off one of my rims and then like tried to push up and down the strut..and..i found out what the problem was..the nut that holds the shock at the top was kinda lose and that is what made the noise...

thanx for all the advise though. i think what happened is that when the springs settled made the shock lil lose,i just needed to readjust it..
peace out
