In/Out efficiency on 1.7 SOHC Vtec
Ok, let me combine all the posts that other ppl on this site has arged numerous times into a scenario...
1.7 SOHC Vtec (Si) AUTO <SIGH>
What are the Pro's and Con's of using SRI vs CAI? How will they affect performance at the low end vs high end? Or more importantly, do they do anything for an AUTO car?
Second, rear-section VS full catback, HKS/Apexi vs Magnaflow? Ppl with Magnaflow, do you notice any difference? Ppl with Apexi?
I'd like to squeeze a couple more hp out of the Si, not to mention getting a bigger muffler/rear/cat to match the loud (much moreso than the LX engine) engine, and perhaps an intake. Just want to get the above cleared up. So guys with lots of mods or lots of experience, shoot away!

SRI good for low-mid range
CAI good for high-end range
ask supYo and Boohahhah, they both have exhaust and header on their car (Si Auto) and they will tell you how much difference it made when u get both of them.

thanks fob for screwing up facts once again... *sigh*
CAI is for low/mid end
SRI is for high end
full catback is always better than just a rear-section. if you're going custom though make sure that the midpiping isn't too big, a little less backpressure is good, a lot is just as bad as stock (if not worse). 2 1/4 is just right.
it does make some difference on an auto, but completely not the same as with a stick, so you have to decide for yourself whether its worth the money.

Don't worry Gus, as I said b4, as soon as I recover from the Koni's, you're my guy for upgrading parts... As far as I can see, I'll eventually be going through you for an intake, an exhaust, a grill, and perhaps even projectors and a body kit. Just depends on my finance. You only earn so much each month without robbing the bank.
bwahahahahah on booohahaha........ ur exhaust is kewl... too bad it doesnt sound anything like that prelude guy .....
