Any recommendations on Goodyear tires for Civic?

I would like an all season general purpose tire by Goodyear. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have (2) Goodyear HP....they are great....Last much longer than Kumho....Nittio....and etc.. The HP's run smooth and quiet, good traction and long lasting tires. Worth saving for...u pay for what u get.

^Damn man, the thread title and first post is asking about specifically Goodyear tires only, so your comment about Firestone is really unneccessary here..

Anyway, try this: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/goodyear/goodyear.htm
They have ratings and reviews of each of their tires. Thats how I actually chose mine, by looking at the customer ratings of the tires in snow, etc.

Hey, thanks for that URL, it's a great web site.

The Aquatred 3s look pretty good.

Do you absolutely insist on Goodyears?.. Bridgestone and Yokohama make some much better tires...

I read a lot of the information and reviews at tirerack for tires that could be used on the Civic. I focused on Goodyear, Firestone, Michelin, and on your recommendation Bridgestone and Yokohama, I wasn't too concerned about price, since I would probably be buying the tires retail and the prices at tirerack might not reflect that. I looked at a few other brands such as Dunlop but didn't find too much there some brands did not have a general purpose tire for the Civic size.

The FR680 and 690 tires for Firestone had mediocre reviews. There was one model number that had a good review although I cannot recall it, I did not give it much attention though, probably for some reason or another. The Michelin Symmetry looks like a good candidate. The Bridgestone tire, it has a letter number combination, BT90 or something had pretty good ratings. The two best based on the owners reviews and recomendations seemed to be the Goodyear Aquatred 3 and the Yokohama Aegis. I was not aware of the Aegis but it did get good reviews, especially for snow handling. The only negative seemed to be that one reviewer said the tire was great but prematurely dry rotted or cracked or something.

So based on what I researched, my first choice would probably be the Aquatred 3 since it got excellent reviews, one said they saved their life, plus I have had good experiences with Goodyear in the past. However, if the cost is too high or the availability of the Aquatred is an issue my next choice would probably be the Yokohama Aegis. Thanks for pointing me toward Yokohama.
