As with any good screw, or un-screw in your case, you gotta grab the nuts. Otherwise you'll just keep turning and nothing's gonna come out. I think that's what the problem is. Take a look and see if you can find the nuts, hold em tight, and it should solve your problem ..

As far as I can remember there are no nuts...the brackets already are threaded......it sounds like for some strange reason the soft "CHEAP" bolts they use are stripped.......if you tightened instead of couterclockwise the bolt...you may have stripped it.......but I'm just throwing out solutions here.......What I would suggest if you stipped your threads........and if I undertstand you correctly...and there are no nuts...when you turn counterclockwise the bolts do not retract....."unscrew".........if this is the case...the easiest thing to try is apply a strong uplift force with a flat head screwdriver or something under the bolt head to try to engage threads further down the bolt.....other than that, you'll have to cut the bolt, remove and buy news ones......a big pain in the ***!!! or drill it out.....Peace and let me know!

the bolts will just spin, after they come out. if it is still tight it is because the rubber o-ring/seal around the filter housing and throttle body. there is a scrfew for this but it is hard to get to so I just pulled it off hard.

The one in the very center will come up and just spin but the 6 or 7 around it well actually I have only tried the front 4 but they just spin and do not unscrew or come up any.... I just spent 30 minutes trying to pry them out but they won't even come up enough to get a screw driver under so I just tried to pull them out with some pliers but they are so small and soft I started to strip the heads of them so I guess I am just not going to have an intake

You can always drill them out...which would be that hard if you can get to the bolt straight on...the metal is so soft tha the drilling wouldn't be that hard with a titanium bit...or something equivilant......don't give up bro.....lets keep at it...peace!

some times the bolts will or will not come out completely, that is the way they are made so you dont drop them in the engine bay. Just pull on the intake box and wiggle it around, if it is tight, look under the air box where the intake hole is. There is a clamp around the intake pipe, just loosen it with a screw driver.
EXACLTY LISTEN TO WHAT WE ARE SAYING!!!!!!!!THOSE BOLTS DON"T COME OUT BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO DROP THEM IN YOUR ENGINE BAY. ONCE ALL THE BOLTS GET TO THAT CERTAIN SPOT JUST PULL UP ON THE BOX AND IT SHOULD COME OUT. THIS IS A VERY SIMPLE PROCEEDER. IF YOUR HAVING TROUBLE WITH THIS THEN I WOULD SUGGEST NO DOING ANYTHING TO YOUR CAR. NOT TRYING TO **** YOU OFF.

Hey man I still haven't figured out why the bolts on my intake are not unscrewing any.... the plastic around them is cracked and moves when it turns (hard to describe unless you see it) anyway you think its not unscrewing because of that or what .... maybe honda tightened them to much and when I torqued on them the first time to get them started it stripped it?
