how about the jack points? there's an idea. or the frame just behind the splash guard would prolly work too.

to jack up your car (2k1 civic), if you look under you car from the front, youll notice an arrow on this plastic piece right behind the front bumper and below the engine bay. this arrow points to an strong point underneath your car where you can jack up the vehicle. i think its part of the chaisis. hope this helps.

When I used jack stands on mine I just put them on a solid area right behind the brake rotors, it worked fine for me. Wherever you choose to put them, just make sure you lower the car slowly & make sure it's going to support the car before you let the jack all the way down.

Noone listened, JACKSTANDS. I implore you to jack from the jack point and get a good jackstand on the same jackpoint at the exact same time. Anyways, on the rear you can put the stands right under the rear subframe on either side (where a tie bar would bolt to if you have one), never used stands on the front, got ramps. hope this helps, peace.

this may be a stupid question - but how do you jack the car up from the jack point, and then also put the jackstand on the jack point????!!! You either have to jack from somewhere else and put the jackstand on the jack point. oooor you jack from the jackpoint and put the jackstands somewhere else.

I personally prefer to jack from behind the jackpoint (more towards center of the car) and then put the jackstands on the jack point.

Like someone else said, look for the arrow just behind and below the radiatior in the engine bay. You can use that if you need to raise the whole front end or are worried about messing something up on one side. If I want to just raise one side, I take a piece of wood and put it on top of the jack and raise the car from a spot far enough back that I can get the stand under the car in the right place. The wood will spread the pressure and absorb and somewhat conform to anything under the car. This will keep anything from getting dented or distorted.

Just a dumb question,

What happens if the wood breaks?

maybe I'm not understanding what you mean.
