Found somebody to cut stock struts for KONIs

Cutting stock struts for KONIs
I had this done by a fellow member, Bartkat, and did a great job. He cut his stock front struts, drilled the pilot hole, and painted the cut surfaces to prevent rusting. Then, I sent mine stock front struts back to him after I was done with the install. This saved me a lot of money and time. I did not have to find a specialized shop that could cut mine and charge me an arm and a leg. I would reccomend him to do this for you if you want to save some money and time.
To save having downtime on your car, I can do your struts on an exchange basis.
The charge for modifying the struts, ready do drop in your Koni's is $50 plus $30 Fedex 3 day shipping. There is a deposit of $150 which is refunded when you send your old struts back to me. So you end up paying $50 plus shipping both ways.
The way this got started was that when I got my Konis I wanted to be able to have them installed on my car without a lot of muss and fuss. So I bought a set of struts and modified them myself. Then when I was ready to have the tire dealer install my Konis, I had the struts already to go. When that was done, I posted some messages about having done it that way. Exbauer asked me to do struts for him so I actually did the original struts that came off my car and sen them to him. When Exbauer's struts come back to me next week, I'll modify them and have them ready to go for the next guy that needs a modified set. I figure the cost is nominal as it will take several jobs to pay for the tooling to do these. I use a tubing cutter instead of a hacksaw ( gives a good square and even cut), a die grinder for smoothing the edges and a 5/8 drill press to do the 14mm hole where the Koni bolts into the struts, so it does cost me more than just labor for this project.
Here's some other costs you might want to know when you get your Konis installed on your car. I took mine to a very reliable tire and lower half mechanic to have them put on.
$110 Labor to install the struts and shocks, (Also had my ProKit installed at this time)
$39 for front and rear alignment check.
Hope this info helps anyone who is interested in getting Konis and/or springs installed.

cutting your stock struts is easy just measure down 40mm and get a hack saw and cut!!! it only took me like 3 hours to install my koni's and ground control. i think its a waste of money to have someone install something so easy. you dont have to have any special tools or anything either. the money you spend on instillation could be used for other mods.

Also you should have the alignment checked, front and rear after you have had your springs on for maybe 500 miles. If the wheels can't be aligned, then you will need a camber kit.
