a while ago a friend of mine installed power windows into a 89 CRX. what was unique about it was that i think he wired it directly to the battery, cuz even with the car off you can still control the windows. i own a 2k1 HX which does not come with power windows. so i want to install the way my friend did. that way i wont have to leave my keys with the passengers in the car when i step away. but what i am afraid of is someone breaking into my car easier. so my question is if there is a way to wire it directly to the battery but have the function disabled when the alarm is on? is so please share.

my other question is concerning aftermarket power window systems. is anybody familiar with http://www.autoloc.com/ or anything similar. again i have a 2k1 HX. my problem here is that i want to use an aftermarket system but still keep the clean look. in other words i would buy the LX/EX interior door panel and wire the system to the existing buttons found on the door. the problem i heard from a mechanic that i dont really trust is that the LX/EX panel might not fit on my door cuz of the window cranks and gears inside. meaning gear protrusion (stick out) from out the door might be needed for it to work correctly and smoothly. its kind of hard to explain. if you understand please help.

also one last question for your troubles, can the factory armrest be added onto my HX or is it just available for the LX. i know quite a bit about cars but havent had much hands-on experience so im confused. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks
