Help
So I have a 2008 civic ex 2door. I got the car and I know for a fact my struts are shot to the point I can’t get an alignment. The cars stock, all that’s been done by me is a rotor and brake pad replacement along with a timing belt. I got the car around 6 months ago and i noticed around 2 weeks ago when I break, Its a loud creaking groaning noise that is coming from the back of the car and is timed based on my breaking speed. Ex: it gets slower as i slow down. I was just trying to figure out, I know my suspensions shot but if it could be a wheel bearing? That was my best guess but the noise is only when i’m breaking instead of constantly. Not sure but would appreciate some insight!
Re: Help
Are you sure you didn't do a serpentine belt? They didn't have timing belts in 2008.
Sounds to me like you have a bad wheel bearing, though. Confirm by lifting whatever wheel the noise is coming from and shaking it.
