P0507 Idle High then...
P0507 Idle High then...
I saw somewhere in the site, a really nice post detailing the problems, codes, e solutions for this (most people get it after cleaning the throttle body). Anyway, this "thing" can pull a bunch of other codes, make you go for so many different parts (EGR, MAP, Purge Valve Selenoid, Vacuum Leaks. the Throttle Body itself, etc). I fought with mine for months, always getting it back in the same day, after doing the famous: idle learning processes (there are more than one).
Yesterday, I finaly solve the problem, and it was not any parts at all, but the re-learning process. I cleaned the codes with my Ancel FX 2000, then disconnecting the battery for 15mins (I actually left if for a full night one time), but I am not sure if it was the cleaning or the re-learning that was not really getting through. Yesterday, I went to a mechanic friend that has a Snap-on (heavy duty) scanner; I plug it, run the codes, did the re-learning that it instructed (same as I was doing for months), and problem solved.
So, to finish, if you decided to clean it (Throttle Body), DO NOT move the butterfly plate by hand; turn the electrical part of ignition, put a heavy object on the accelerator pedal, and the butterfly plate will keep open for you to clean it.
After cleaning it, if the idle goes crazy, do the re-learning process, and if it do not work, do yourself a favor, and look for a friend with some heavy duty scanner, and good luck
