Hello All,

I need some advise. I opened my car’s hood (honda civic) and noted that below component or a cap(picture 1) was lying loose near an equipment beneath engine (picture 2 and 3). Also noticed a lot of grease and oil residue along the area.

Though i put it back but not sure what it was !! Also please suggest what may have caused it and if i need to do something further?

what year? What model? what is that missing hole plug? why did yo not plug it back?

Transmission dipstick, looks broken off. Get a new one, clean the breather cap on the trans, and change the trans fluid.
